MOSHA ATTENDING 50 YEARS OF THE EXISTENCE OF THE ILO/CIS INFORMATION CENTERS |

On 22 and 23 October in the headquarters of ILO in Geneva, an annual meeting of the ILO/CIS information centers of the whole world was held. At the same time the occasion for this meeting was 50 years of the existence of the ILO/CIS information centers. Special emphasis was given to the fact that 50 years ago, ILO/CIS information centers where established from 11 members, and that number today is increased to 150 members. This meeting was attended by representatives of 50 countries amongst which, a representative from Macedonia.
 The meeting was greeted by Mr. Gabor Sandi, Coordinator of the CIS centers. The official opening of the meeting was performed by Mr Assane Diop, Executive director of the ILO Social protection program. Mrs. Sameera Al-Tuwaijri, director of the SafeWork ILO program, also addressed the audience on the opening of the meeting.
The employees of the ILO/CIS headquarters in Geneva presented the activities that where accomplished during the last year, and the plans for the future activities.
In the next part of the meeting, 25 countries presented the activities of their CIS information centers. The interesting part of the presentations was to see how the rest of the CIS centers work, and how do they handle everyday challenges.
His own presentation also had Mr. Ljupco Kocovski, representative of the Macedonian occupational safety and health association. |

The International Forum on Work Safety started in Peking, China and it will last for three days.
Organizers of the event are the State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) within the government of China and ILO Geneva, supported by the International Social Security Association (ISSA) and Beijing Administration of Work Safety.
The Forum was opened by the Vice President of the Government of China, in the presence of high representatives as a part of the organizers.
Representative of Macedonia was Mr. Ljupcho Kochovski, coordinator of the ILO/CIS center in Macedonia. The full amount of the expences for the travel and residence where covered by ILO-Geneva (SafeWork) as a recognition for the succsesfsull work of the ILO/CIS centre in Macedonia. |

On 30-th august 2010 in Peking, China the 48 annual meeting of the ILO/CIS centers of information’s was held.
The meeting was opened by Mr. Assane Diop, Director of the social care sector in ILO - Geneva.
Mr. Seiji Machida, Director of SafeWork in ILO-Geneva, and Dr. Wu Zongzi-President of China Academy od Safety Science & Technology, also greeted the audience with a speech.
Moderator of the meeting was Mrs. Barbara Szczepanowska from the Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute.
Mr. Gabor Sandi and Mrs. Annick Virot, supported by Mrs. Manal Azzi had a presentation of the activities from the last period and plan for the future period.
Besides the regular activities, Mrs. Ji Jong Kwan presented the Seul Declaration, from the last OSH World Congress , and Mrs. Hediye Ozgen Timucin had a presentation of the OSH World Congress which will be held in Istanbul in september 2011.
